GRANTS

The SLPCF, now in it's seventh year, had awarded over $350,000 in grants to programs throughout the community of St. Louis Park. Major awards are made once a year. On December 4 at The Park Tavern, the SLPCF will award $12,000 in grants to important not-for-profit community organizations that serve St. Louis Park and support the strategic priorities of the Foundation.

SLPCF also collaborates with the City of St. Louis Park and the St. Louis Park Friends of the Arts to provide funds to the city's Arts and Culture Grant Program. The program funds art projects and cultural activities that build bridges between artists and communities, engage people in creative learning and promote artistic production and cultural experiences in the Park.

The grant application deadline for 2011 is September 30th.

Grants: Eligibility

Organizations applying for funds must serve residents of St. Louis Park. Grants are available to non-profit organizations which have a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status from the IRS, educational institutions, religious or cultural organizations, government agencies, neighborhood associations, or any group with an interest in improving the high quality of life in the SLP community. Organizations who do not have 501(c)(3) status may apply if another 501(c)(3) organization will act as the fiscal agent.

The SLPCF does not fund endowments, give assurance of ongoing support or administer its own projects. It does not support direct grants to individuals, religious activities, fundraising benefits, program advertising, political parties, offices or candidates.
