MISSION: OVERVIEW

The St. Louis Park Community Foundation (SLPCF) is, in the broadest sense, a general-purpose community foundation that will focus on funding projects and initiatives within St. Louis Park. The foundation will also serve as the overarching umbrella foundation for other future designated funds or other smaller foundations focused on specialized projects within the Park. The Foundation's mission is unique to what this community holds in its esteem and for what it believes in:

Creating a legacy for St. Louis Park – one gift at a time

SERVICE...Individuals and businesses giving to St. Louis Park;

PARTNERSHIP...Organizations investing in St. Louis Park;

FOCUS...Quality of life in St. Louis Park.

Furthermore, the St. Louis Park Community Foundation will help enhance the high quality of life shared by all of us here in St. Louis Park. Through the pooling of gifts, the Foundation will steward those funds for the benefit of the entire community. The St. Louis Park Community Foundation seeks to:

• Address community issues by funding St. Louis Park's nonprofits through pass-through funds or through a soon-to-be created endowment
• Promote the awareness and benefits of making planned gifts and bequests to the Foundation
• Develop the financial resources needed to promote the cultural, educational, civic, wellness, environmental and other assets of St. Louis Park.
